HANGZHOU HIKVISION DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY CO. LTD (“HIKVISION”, “we”, “ours” or “us”), as the provider of the software VegaSonic. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use VegaSonic.

1.     The purpose and types of information collection

To facilitate your use of VegaSonic for professional audio-video device management, we collect and process the following personal information:

1)      Account Information: including username, profile photo, email, region, company name, company industry, company address

2)      Device Information: including hardware serial number, device MAC address, device QR code information

3)      Operation Logs: including login/logout logs, device configuration logs, audio parameter adjustment logs

Special Note: VegaSonic serves solely as an audio-video device management tool and does not store music files with copyright disputes. All audio streams are distributed within the user’s own network environment.

2.     Use of personal information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

Ÿ   Device access and architecture management

Ÿ   Virtual grouping and flexible control

Ÿ   System debugging and signal processing (DSP)

Ÿ   Music playback and media management

3.      Sharing of personal information

We do not sell any personal information to third parties. HIKVISION will not disclose your personal information, unless (i) with your prior consent; (ii) in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations, or where required by competent authorities; (iii) as required to offer the services; or (iv) to protect its legitimate interests, for example, to defend its rights on administrative or judicial procedures or in case its business or parts thereof is transferred to sold to another party.

HIKVISION limits access to your personal information on a need-to-know basis, and requires its employees to respect the confidentiality of your information and protect your information in accordance with the Policy.

Your personal information will be stored only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was processed.

HIKVISION wishes to draw your attention to the possible risks in terms of data confidentiality related to the operation of the Internet. In particular, it is the responsibility of users to set up or ensure the existence of means to secure their personal computer network, as well as to ensure the correct configuration of the connection box connected to the Internet service provider, and other radio access (e.g. WIFI, 4G, etc...).
